Linksys PAP2 - Installation Instructions
The Linksys PAP2 adapter that you purchased during the signup process comes fully configured with your individual account details so that you can begin making calls within minutes of its arrival.

Since the PAP2 works independently of a computer there are no operating system requirements that your computer must meet, and in most cases all you will need to do is simply plug it in. However, in order to facilitate the installation process we recommend that your Home network have room for one more device and that you have the following:

  • Broadband Internet connection*
  • Linksys PAP2 Telephone Adapter *
  • Broadband Router *
  • Activated VoIP Service Account (Username and Password)
  • Regular analog touch-tone telephone or FAX machine

* If you purchased your PAP2 from a retailer, if your home network uses Static IP, or if you do not own a home router -- please contact Customer Support at 1-888-868-8318 for installation assistance.

Precautionary Notice
Important: Please do not connect either one of the PAP2 Device's phone ports directly into a telephone wall jack as doing so may cause electrical damage to the PAP2 and the telephone wiring in your home.
